Course Content

Widespread and Afrotemperate forest butterflies
Forest is the smallest of South Africa's nine biomes and it is highly fragmented. It is home to several butterfly species that are widespread across all types of forest. There are also some that are restricted to Afrotemperate Forest, the highest elevation and the coolest.

Mistbelt and Scarp Forest Butterflies
Mistbelt and Scarp Forests are the lower elevation aspects of Afromontane Forest. They are warmer than Afrotemperate Forest and tend to have more butterfly species,
